My brain hurts sometimes!
Does this ever happen to you in December?
My to do list is full, the commitment load is maxed out and my mind starts the swirling thoughts of how I haven’t started my holiday shopping! Now Add in everyday normal items like cleaning, cooking, & kid transporting!
I often catch myself throughout the day holding my breath, shoulders hunched and jaw tense!
Back in the day (when I wasn’t soo focused on my evolving), the first thing to let slide would have been my workouts and meditation!
Now I know better!
I now know that signing up for every volunteer list will not serve me.
I now know that responding yes to every invitation will fill my calendar to the brim, but I need down time.
I now know that my kids don’t need a zillion presents to make their Christmas special, so I no longer spend hours at malls overspending.
I now know that I need to honor myself,so, I sign up for the exercise class and I get my meditations done! I pay attention to what I need to keep me calm, centered and happy!
I choose to be aware of things that haven’t worked in Christmases past and make the necessary changes
As we enter into the season of busyness, it’s more important than ever to make room for the activities that bring you some chill and zen!
It’s more important than ever to be able to take deep breaths, drop those shoulders away from your ears, and unclench that jaw!
Nobody’s gonna give this time for you- you’re going to have to take it!

Natural Sinus Buster Recipe
Have you been hit by the cold germ making its way around?
It’s a doozy!
This one is tending to settle into the sinus and get comfy, it feels like it just doesn’t want to leave! I’m prone to sinus issues due to a severe deviated septum I never got repaired and every cold has increased potential to turn into a secondary sinus infection! Avoiding antibiotics is a #healthgoal!
Because of this I have a protocol I call upon when I succumb to a cold
✨Bump up the supplements (vit c, zinc, elderberry, garlic)
✨extra fluids, water water water
✨Neti pot twice daily ✨doterra onguard , oregano, melaleuca, lemon, breathe andddd

Steaming mug of water with 3 drops of peppermint, melaleuca(tea tree oil), oregano, lemon. Close eyes and hover a few inches over mug and slowly inhale for a minute* boom! #breathe

Lessons From Butterfly Beaches
Transforming, gradually coming into being.✨
Doesn’t that sound graceful , effortless?
On my morning beach walks I have come to enjoy looking to nature and her lessons on awareness, present moment living and evolution!
The other morning as I arrived to the beach the sand appeared littered with thousands of tiny broken pebbles. Deciding to investigate, I began walking towards the ocean. Once near the ‘pebbles’ my landscape view shifted.
The annoying pebble stones were not stones at all, but rather, tiny butterfly shaped shells.
A gorgeous display,thousands of colorful little beauties scattered as far as I could see. A perfect butterfly beach laid out before me.
As I walked I was mesmerized & enamored by their delicate & vibrant exhibit.
Within this parade of tiny shells, no two were the same. Some lay perfectly in one piece, splayed open, showing off their color and uniqueness. Some,still tightly closed shut in an effort to protect and survive. Others lay damaged by waves or their jostled journey, broken yet still beautiful.
Later I would read of how these were clams & that the perfectly in tact butterfly shaped shells were the ones that had fulfilled a purpose!They had bolstered the food chain, becoming a meal for the small shorebirds. Evolving from a clam to a fuel source, transforming into a beautiful display of nature’s artwork.
Evolution in its purest form💫
Evolving takes on different shapes for everyone and everything! No two transformations are designed or ever meant to be the same! That’s what makes up the beauty of the landscape! Its time to understand and stop comparing our paths!

FINDING PEACE IN YOUR SILENCE
Do you have a difficult time with quiet? Do you find yourself switching on the music or tv for background noise to fill the uncomfortable space? Unfortunately we rarely allow ourselves the luxury of stillness and quiet as we fill our moments with constant ‘noise’.
The importance of tuning out the chatter, turning off the television, and other outside noise is more important than ever in our noisy
Make the time in your day to find your quiet moments. Get in tune with your body and mind and get realigned with being able to hear yourself think. It’s time to get back in touch with the silence!
Because often It’s in the quiet space we are able to hear the messages we need to hear
Try these ideas!
*Drive to work and whenever you run errands without the radio on- break the habit of always flipping it on mindlessly
*keep social media and tv off for the first 30 mins and last 30mins of your day
*meditate occasionally without background music or guiding voices, just use following your breath to center in.
*practice being still & alone for a few moments every day
* Pause before responding out of habit or quickly, be mindful of your words and their effect
*work on holding silence for someone else to speak, be aware of how much you tend to interrupt others
*avoid talking just to fill silence with others, sometimes just being in someone’s presence can speak volumes
*Start small and give yourself gentleness and grace, working up to longer amounts of time/ any new skill takes patience & practice!
Take one more step to transform! Before you know it, you’ll be craving that quiet instead of pushing it away!
